Light the town. Pure logic.
/// Getting started
- 01Install Lanterns & Shadows from the App Store and open it. No account is needed.
- 02Follow the short tutorial on first launch. You can replay it any time with How to play on the home screen.
- 03Tap a square to place a lantern. Tap again for a dot (a note that no lantern goes there), and once more to clear it.
- 04Light every street, never let two lanterns shine on each other, and match the numbers on the walls — each counts the lanterns touching it.
/// Is every puzzle solvable without guessing?
Yes. Every level has exactly one solution, and it can be reached by logic alone. If you're stuck, tap Hint: it shows the next logical step and explains why.
/// How do stars work?
1 star for solving, +1 for solving without a hint, and +1 for beating the par time. Replaying never lowers your best.
/// When does the daily puzzle change?
At midnight UTC. Everyone gets the same puzzle that day.
/// Can I switch controls?
Yes. Go to Settings → Controls → Lantern / Dot tools for separate buttons instead of tap-to-cycle.
/// Leaderboards or achievements aren't working
Sign in to Game Center in iOS Settings, then reopen the app. Game Center is optional — the game works fully without it.
/// My progress is gone
Progress is stored on the device only. It isn't synced between devices, and deleting the app removes it.
